Plural, DeepBridge and Agency.com, e-services companies with headquarters close to the destruction at the World Trade Center in New York, report that their employees are safe and their companies displaced but up and running.

Neil Isford, president and CEO of Plural, wrote on the CRN discussion board that he is "very pleased to report that we have now made contact with every Plural employee from the N.Y. area, and they are all safe and sound!"

"Our energies are now focused on helping our friends and business associates who have family members that are not yet accounted for," Isford wrote. "I am very proud of our employees, many of whom are back at work supporting our clients."

Plural's New York headquarters is located at 115 Broadway, about two blocks from the World Trade Center and across from One Liberty Plaza. Isford has been communicating with employees on the company's Web site in a series of e-mails.

In an e-mail to employees on the Web site, Isford said a structural engineer has yet to determine the extent of the damage to the building, where windows were blown out during the explosions at the World Trade Center.

Isford said Plural has temporarily relocated its operations from New York to Stamford, Conn. The phone number there is (203) 969-0464. In addition, said Isford, Plural continues to support customers out of its Washington, D.C., Boston, and Chicago offices, and through alliances in Atlanta and Oakland.

Another e-services company with headquarters close to the World Trade Center, DeepBridge, is reporting via an open letter on its Web site that its "staff is accounted for and is well."

"We can ask for no greater gift," the statement read.

CRN's efforts to get in touch with DeepBridge CEO James Clements have been unsuccessful but the unsigned letter reports the company's headquarters at 61 Broadway, just blocks from the devastation,"is not harmed, but is without power."

As a result, the company's phone system and Web site are not yet operating and the company does not have access to the building. While the company is open for business, it is temporarily operating from the offices of its funding organization, Jupiter Partners.

The note also reports that DeepBridge's Boston, Denver and Washington offices are up and running. Denver is serving as the clearinghouse for messages and is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST. The number is (303) 832-1866.

"We at DeepBridge would like to thank the many clients, suppliers, prospects, colleagues and friends who have taken time to determine the status of those in our New York and Washington offices," the note read.

In a letter to staff, clients and friends dated Sept. 13, Agency.com CEO Chan Suh said, "We have visited the office today and it is in remarkably good shape."

New York officials are expected to allow limited access to the building at 20 Exchange Place over the weekend. Meanwhile, employees were scheduled to meet at the company's offices on Park Avenue Friday morning.

"We will be picking up our professional lives soon because we refuse to be intimidated by terrorist acts," Suh said in a letter posted on the company's Web site. Suh also assured clients the company's client data has been backed up and stored in a safe place. Arrangements will be made to retrieve the data and get back to work by early next week. He expressed his gratitude for the support and kind messages "during these trying times."

"The tragedies that occurred in New York and the U.S. on Tuesday, Sept. 11 are beyond imagination," Suh said in the letter. "Our thoughts and wishes go out to the victims and their families."
