Maven Web Browser, Web browser for iPad
We’ve looked at a number of different web browsers for tablets, but it’s hard to find any that just stand out. Maven Web Browser stands out.

Actually, the full name of this app is the Maven Web Browser with Innovative Jogdial, Trackpad and Download Manager. But the one feature that stands out is the quick and easy way to view two browser windows at the same time on the iPad – allowing for genuine, browser-based multitasking even ahead of the launch of Apple’s iOS 5.

Maven also provides a notebook-style “trackpad” – a red dot on each browser window that allows for one-touch scrolling as well as a browser-refresh button that’s simpler to use than other iPad-based browser apps including Apple’s own Safari.

Maven Web Browser also allows for more granular settings, including session-restore on startup, search-engine choice between Google, Bing, Yahoo or others. For privacy, pass-code lock, history- and cookie-cleaning and an amazing feature that allows for custom gestures ranging from two-finger swipes to move from tab to tab, to three-finger taps to toggle between screens.

This is a 99-cent download from the Apple iTunes App Store.

Simply put, Maven Web Browser is the most powerful browser for any mobile device we’ve yet to see, and for power iPad users it’s a must-have.
