Condusiv Names Former D-Link Boss To Head Global Sales7:22 PM EST Tue. May. 15, 2012
Nick Tidd, the former president of D-Link North America, is now senior vice president of global sales at Condusiv Technologies, the company confirmed this week.
Condusiv, formerly known as Diskeeper Corp., specializes in application performance and efficiency software. Tidd has been consulting for the company since shortly after leaving D-Link at the end of December 2011.
Tidd will oversee Condusiv's global revenue and profit growth as well as its channel strategy. Jerry Baldwin, Condusiv's CEO, said Tidd's appointment will be important as Condusiv continues to grow its customer base.
"I am excited to have Nick aboard and I look forward to working closely with him to help Condusiv capitalize on our global channel partner program and consumer customer go-to-market goals," Baldwin said in a statement.
Tidd is well-known in the channel for the nine years he spent at 3Com, where he was global channel chief from 2006 and 2008, as well as for the three years, roughly speaking, he spent at D-Link, where he managed D-Link Canada sales, became vice president of sales for D-Link Pan America and vice president of marketing for D-Link North America, and, in January 2010, became president, D-Link North America.
Tidd exited D-Link at the end of 2011 as part of an ongoing management shakeup in the networking company's North America ranks. Most of Tidd's well-known lieutenants, including former enterprise and channel chief Pat Piwowarczyk, former CIO Michael Walsh and former consumer sales chief Rod Michel, have left D-Link since last fall.
Tidd told CRN in an exclusive interview in March that he had sought a new position closer to the channel.
"At D-Link, I didn't get to spend enough time out in the field, and I miss that interaction both with partners and end users," Tidd said. "My passion has always been supporting the channel and helping folks explore new business initiatives, develop winning strategies and push the envelope of success."
