The 2012 Fast Growth 100 list, CRN's annual recognition of solution providers with extraordinary two-year growth rates, features a handful of companies with women at the helm. The following 13 Women of the Channel represent companies whose combined sales equaled $1.56 billion, with annual sales averaging $120 million in 2011. Revenue of these women-led solution providers more than doubled between 2009 and 2011. Here are the stories behind these successful executives.

Rorapaugh started Systems Management Planning in 1997, with her husband, Eric. The company began as hardware-centric but has evolved to become a professional IT consultant, specializing in data center technology. Prior to forming SMP, Kristin worked for several advertising agencies, and she has a background in art direction. Combining her tech side with her artistic side has resulted in a unique image for SMP. The $40.6 million company experienced two-year revenue growth of 60 percent.

For the past 16 months, Teri Bruns has been president of Core BTS. Previously, she was executive vice president, sales for six years. Before moving to Core BTS, Bruns was EMC's district sales manager between 2000 and 2005, and senior sales representative for 10 years prior. Bruns began her career at Hitachi Data Systems, where she managed storage equipment business across central United States. This woman-led company had $149 million in 2011 sales -- a growth rate of 61 percent during the past two years.

Founded by Rosoff in 1992, The Launch Pad is one of Tampa Bay's fastest growing companies. It provides IT and Web services. Two years ago, Rosoff was named a finalist for Business Woman of the Year in the Technology category by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. In addition, she has been recognized for her contributions to a number of causes, including the Bay Area Search and Rescue, Boys and Girls Clubs and Easy-to-GreenIT, which includes "GreenBack," a community outreach program that recycles gently used computer equipment for use at local nonprofits. With 2011 revenue of $6.8 million, its sales increased 66 percent between 2009 and 2011.

As the owner of Knowledge Information Systems (KIS), the company's revenue increased more than seven times since 2002, growing from $9 million to over $68 million in 2011. A founding member of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), Giordano was also appointed to the Virginia Research and Technology Advisory Council (2002-2005) and reappointed from 2005-2009 by Virginia Governor Mark Warner, who appointed her to the Governor’s Economic Development Strategic Planning Council 2002-2005. She's been on James Madison University's College of Integrated Science and Technology’s STEM advisory council since 2003. And, she's led two-year sales growth of 67 percent; revenue in 2011 topped $68 million.

She also oversees proposal development and drives company direction and strategy. In 2004, she was featured as a "person to watch" in the San Diego Union-Tribune. Blue Tech reported sales of $106 million, up 84 percent from 2009.

She has been an advocate of women-owned businesses for years. She is a founding member of the Orange County chapter of the National Association of Women Owned Business (NAWBO) and is also a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBENC). She mentors businesses in diversity issues and serves as a guest speaker at events. ACS rung up $706 million in sales last year, growing 106 percent from 2009.

Himanshu Bhatia grew up in New Delhi, but she came to Missouri in 1987 to pursue a graduate technology degree. That degree helped her earn employment at McDonnell Douglas' IT department. In 1993, this woman entrepreneur started Rose International. Bhatia has focused her firm on customer service, which has helped her win customers such as the U.S. Army, Boeing, Toyota and ChevronTexaco. Rose International's revenue was more than $357 million in 2011, a 122 percent increase from 2010.

Within the commercial, public sector and banking industries, Do has expert capabilities delivering IT solutions, with the use of proven methodologies, repeatable processes and reusable work products, including CMMI, Lean Six Sigma and ITIL. Soft Tech's 2011 revenue was $11.8 million, a two-year gain of 154 percent.

Her new business would initially focus on selling long distance to small businesses, but the company has grown to become an integrated technology solutions provider, including voice, data, video, cybersecurity and wireless services.

In addition to the USAF, this woman-led solution provider serves all branches of the DoD, as well as the University of Kentucky Health Care, FBR Bank and Towers Perrin. In 2011, revenue was nearly $19 million, up a whopping 1,233 percent from 2009.

Galyardt, with her husband Mark, launched XIOSS in 2008, after retiring from Delta Airlines, bringing her 25 years experience in a service-driven industry into the IT storage arena. Throughout her career, Galyardt has remained an active leader in the community, running for state office and volunteering at church, schools, scouts and community organizations. She has a bachelor of science degree from Auburn University, is a published artist and a devoted mother of two.
