Today’s Daily App takes form creation out of the paperless world and into a virtual one. FormMobi for Android and iOS uses mobile devices to replace clipboards and paper forms.
Workflow technology developer FormMobi and its free like-named app have one goal: to simplify the process of creating and deploying forms. This is carried out by using handheld devices to route form-data via the Internet.
FormMobi is an app that provides a way to personalize or build forms for and from a mobile device. Once an online FormMobi account has been created, the service’s online drag-and-drop components make it easy to build forms quickly. After the form has been created, it can be shared through the email addresses of others with FormMobi installed. A data connection is not needed to fill out forms, only to upload them to the cloud for future use.
FormMobi can scan barcodes and add photos and audio attachments, and a basic sketching feature simplifies sharing of floor plans with a team. FormMobi can also collect signatures, use check boxes and capture GPS coordinates. Data is stored in the cloud and can be exported to Excel, Word, PDF, XML and CSV files. A published API permits FormMobi to integrate with a company's existing data flow.
