Created from the same name developer, Toggl Timer is a free app that can be a useful tool for professionals such as lawyers and service people who bill by the hour or need to keep track of their time in small increments. The simple setup of Toggle Timer begins by creating a login account, which can be done by creating a new account or through Google with a Gmail account. Then simply press the start button to begin keeping track of time. There's no alarm feature; Toggle Timer simply keeps track of time until the timer is manually stopped.

The timer page includes a customizable "what are you working on" bar and an optional "project" page where a client and workspace can be specified, and a "share with team" feature can be set to on/off. There's also a "billable" option with the ability to add tags specifying who should be billed for each segment of time. Stats including project, time, client or task can then be filtered, providing the ability to track the time used efficiently. Any activity recorded on the mobile app syncs directly back to the online account, as long as the device has a data or Wi-Fi connection.
