New Elite Partners Praise Condusiv's Channel Program, Virtualization Technology4:17 PM EST Fri. Aug. 30, 2013
Some of the top enterprise integrators in the country are giving Condusiv Technologies high marks for its virtualization acceleration software and a new Elite partner program.
Those partners say Burbank, Calif.-based Condusiv's breakthrough V-locity VM acceleration software, combined with a top-notch channel program, is delivering big virutalizaton performance gains for customers and high margins for them.
Chris Pyle, CEO of Boca Raton, Fla.-based Champion Solutions Group, No. 198 on the SP500, said he has rarely seen such a combination of big-bang-for-your-buck technology and best-in-class channel program in his 34 years in the business.
"We're very selective about what vendors we bring on board," said Pyle, whose company earned the 2012 VMware Infrastructure Virtualization Partner of the Year for the Americas. "We owe it to our customers to make sure we are constantly delivering best of breed to increase their virtualization performance. With Condusiv, our engineers are seeing at minimum a 50 percent increase in performance for some workloads, and as much as a 10 times increase on other workloads. They couldn't believe the numbers. And our engineers are the most skeptical people in the world."
Pyle said he was just as impressed with Condusiv's partner prowess and lead generation.
"Condusiv is putting its money where its mouth is and then rolling up its sleeves alongside us with outbound marketing campaigns," said Pyle. "I wish all our vendors were like this. We're pretty good at lead identification and generation, but Condusiv has taught us some things. They are teaching us how to fish and generate new opportunities. It's really cool."
Champion is one of a handful of new SP500-class partners that have been selected for a new Elite tier in the Condusiv channel program. The Elite tier, which provides an additional 5 points of margin, is by invitation-only and is limited to just six to eight regional superpowers with a big midmarket virtualization solution footprint, said Condusiv CEO Jerry Baldwin.
Baldwin said he sees these companies as a cut above the large national direct marketers and national integrators because of their market-leading virtualization solution capabilities and midmarket focus.
"These companies are the trusted IT advsiers for the midmarket," he said. "They are best-of-breed virtualization thought leaders. And they are focused on the same virtualization and cloud enablement customer set that we are going after. They are my sales force. Most vendors don't get it. They'd rather take on the high cost of a direct-sales force with salary and benefits."
Along with the additional margin, the Condusiv Elite tier benefits include dedicated field sales rep support, inside sales rep support and engineering support as well as top executive corporate sponsorship, said Baldwin.
Ron Dupler, CEO of GreenPages Technology Solutions, No. 154 on the SP500 and 2011 VMware Solution Provider of the Year, whose company has been selected as a Condusiv Elite partner, said his engineering team put the Condusiv product through the "ringer" and gave it the green light.
Dupler credited Baldwin as a technology industry veteran who has "reinvented Condusiv with a really compelling virtualization technology solution and a great channel program."
"We're excited about the technology and the channel program," said Dupler. "We're already working on architecting it into virtualization solutions. We see it as an important tool in our war chest of tools we use to architect great virtualization solutions for customers."
The Condusiv software delivers dramatic I/O (input/output) optimization gains in virtualization environments, particularly in desktop environments, said Dupler. "Condusiv has a really creative and intelligent way to solve the I/O virtualization problem," he said. "It is driving better price/performance metrics, extending the life and optimizing customer investments in existing virtualization infrastructure by removing I/O bottlenecks."
Baldwin said Condusiv's V-locity VM acceleration software is changing the game for customers, who are no longer being forced to buy additional hardware to overcome virtualization I/O bottlenecks. "We are the french fries for the VMware, Citrix and Microsoft virtual hamburgers," he said.
