StoneFly Networks, one of the original pioneers of the iSCSI industry and recipient of $34 million in venture capital, has been acquired by Dynamic Network Factory, DNF said Tuesday.
San Diego-based StoneFly is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Hayward, Calif.-based DNF, a developer of NAS and IP SAN products, said Mo Tahmasebi, president and CEO of DNF.
StoneFly's product set includes entry-level and midrange iSCSI equipment as well as upcoming products to address enterprise SANs of up to 100 Tbytes.
All of StoneFly's sales go through solution providers, while DNF has a combination VAR and OEM business model with limited direct sales, Tahmasebi said.
