Symantec on Monday said it has finalized its acquisition of network client management vendor Altiris.
The $830 million deal was announced in late January.
Lindon, Utah-based Altiris makes software that allows businesses to manage and service network-based endpoints, ranging from mobile devices, laptops and desktop PCs to servers and storage.
Altiris' technology brings Cupertino, Calif.-based Symantec the tools to expand into a broad, IT network management vendor, with products that address security plus storage, client management and remote managed services.
