October Careers and Employment Linkfest

So far, so good. Despite the cooling economy, today's new jobless claims report shows that the employment picture overall remains healthy. With the big September unemployment report due out tomorrow, it's a good time to look at some of the latest links on the high tech employment scene:

For the first half of this year, high tech job growth was at it's highest six-month level since 2001, according to a report from the American Electronics Association. Don't get too excited, though--my contrarian friend, Barry Ritholtz, notes that overall tech jobs remain under 1998 levels. But for those tech professionals who can demonstrate business and people skills in addition to their tech ones, the job market is positively steamy.
