Syncing up with RSS feeds is common practice among many users who adopt Google Reader as their platform. Today's Daily App syncs all of the feeds from Google Reader beautifully and simply, but doesn't forgo an ample feature set. Press for Android is a well-crafted reader created by independent developer TwentyFive Squares. The app costs $1.99, but its attractive design and speed make it unlike any other reader on Android regardless of price.
TwentyFive Squares' relentless focus on design shows in the functionality of its debut app, and the aesthetic is great as well. Press has a paper-like look to it that is as attractive as it is easy on the eyes. Syncing is quick, and a list of your labels is displayed. Selecting a label shows each feed and the number of unread articles organized as icons. Articles from the feed are displayed in a list, and a simple tap or swipe brings the full article out. The feature list in Press is impressive in its own right. Everything in the app is large, easy to read and informative. It automatically saves your unread feeds for offline reading when you sync, has image zooming and automatically disposes of pre-read articles.
There is a small price to pay for Press, but the intuitive design of the app makes a compelling case.
