What Are You Worth?

CRN's annual Compensation Survey (coming up in late June) will help you reassess your career worth But while you're waiting, you can check out this index from IT staffing services company Yoh to see how you're faring.

According to Yoh's Index of Technology Wages, compensation slipped 0.8 percent for the first quarter, compared with the first quarter of 2004. Of course, everything is relative. So, if you live in San Francisco, Portland and Philadelphia you probably bucked the trend. But in Houston, Washington and Atlanta, on the other hand, you probably did slightly worse than average in terms of your paycheck.

Yoh reports that the top five high-tech job titles include Clinical Trial Manager, Microsoft ASP.net Developer, Microsoft VB.Net Developer, SQL Developer and Verilog Designer.

Anyway, here's the whole release in case you need more details. And be sure to look for our upcoming compensation coverage on June 27.
