Here's the Wall Street Journal first take on the Macworld news.(supscription required.)

Better yet, here's a fun blow-by-blow account of the Jobsian keynote.

The device is an iPod/TV/phone all roled into one sleek package, operable via a touch screen to dial, show video, control audio. Etc. You get the (presumably crystal clear) picture

As for the tussle over who owns "iPhone" maybe Apple and Cisco figure they're better off sharing the moniker and fighting their common enemy: Microsoft. Clearly all three have their eye on the prize of home computing. Maybe they're starting to take sides.

Presumably Jobs is not going to follow this up, with his resignation. At least not today.

But hey, I've been wrong before.
