Hello and almost Happy New Year. Since this is the season when we journalists are paid for reflection, there are plenty of such pieces out there for you to skim on the Web today. But I'll direct you to Dan Gillmor for one of the more thoughtful year-end opinions you'll read.

Finally, for those of you who anticipate lots of cross-continental flights in 2005, you might want to read up on this development in the world of laptop batteries from Texas Instruments. Now, if they could do something about the design of those airplane meal trays that would make it easier to type at altitude.
One more entry and it's 2005!
