Customers looking for a productivity boost might be intrigued by Capturx, a digital pen from Adapx.

Particularly appealing for businesses with a lot of workers that take notes in the field, the Capturx captures handwriting and sketches and turns them into digital data that can be used in a variety of applications.

Our Test Center recently tried out Capturx for Microsoft Office OneNote, though versions are also available for Microsoft Office Excel, Autodesk Design Review and ArcGIS Desktop.

At $300, the digital pen wouldn't be a fit for everyone, but there are a number of vertical markets where channel partners could find opportunities to craft mobility solutions that include just such a device. The company identifies architecture and engineering firms, utilities and public safety outfits, retail and government as some of its key segments.

Our reviewers were impressed by the product's performance in capturing both handwriting and drawings accurately, noting that the experience was no different than writing with a regular ballpoint pen. Click here for the full review.
