The Daily App: Atomic Web Browser For iPhone

Apple provides one Web browser natively for the iPhone: Safari. And while Safari is OK for most Web-browsing functions, Atomic Web Browser is just a bit better.

It’s a 99-cent download from the Apple iTunes App store, and immediately it provides much greater functionality and control over the browsing experience than the Safari browser on the iPhone.

Manage downloads, gain greater control over the deletion of cookies and saved forms. Limit the amount of history that gets saved. For each page, you not only have the option to bookmark it or set it as a home page, but you get two-button sharing to Facebook, Twitter or email. With one button, you can save the entire Web page, view source or print.

Atomic Web Browser supports tabs, “private mode,” increasing or decreasing font size and more.

There are a number of other browsers for the iPhone besides Safari, including Firefox Home – which syncs bookmarks over the air between PC and device. But few if any provide the granular control over the browsing experience on the platform that Atomic Web Browser provides.

If you browse the Web while on the iPhone, Atomic Web Browser is an app that should be considered strongly.
