The Daily App: System Status For iPad

System Status has long been a popular app on the iPad platform, and now it comes in both a free, “lite” version as well as a paid, 99-cent download from the Apple iTunes App Store.

The free version includes in-app advertisements; we tried the paid download.

After just a couple of minutes, it’s easy to see why this has been a popular app. While Apple has built iOS and the iPad to provide basic system information (under the settings tab), System Status provides nice, easy-to-view colored graphics.

By launching System Status, you receive a quick update on battery life and battery state, used and free disk space, CPU usage as well as average load time, boot time, uptime and IP and network information.

In the pay version, you also get file data, including how many songs, Albums, podcasts, etc., that are on the iPad; how much memory specific apps will use and how memory is being used on the device; you’ll get process information and a breakdown of how much battery life remains depending on what tasks you use.

System Status for iPad is a must-have app for any iPad power user.
