The Daily App: Lineas Memo For BlackBerry PlayBook

Lineas Informationstechnik GmbH has developed Lineas Memo, a simple, sticky-note app that provides a neat, fast and nifty way to place tasks, notes and reminders to the screen of your BlackBerry PlayBook.

A free download from the BlackBerry App World store, Lineos Memo is about as simple as you get: it provides one function. However, once you write your note, task or reminder to a Lineos sticky, you can use the touch function of the PlayBook to move the note around on the wallpaper to where it’s the most comfortable and easiest to view. The one bummer is that when you need to open another app, Lineos “X’s out” and needs to be restarted to see your notes. Still, for those of us who require daily reminders and notes, Lineos does make it easy if your tablet of choice is the BlackBerry PlayBook.

With the overwhelming majority of apps now targeted at tablets with displays that are about 10 inches, it will be interesting to see how development of apps for the BlackBerry PlayBook progresses. Lineos shows, with Lineos Memo, that apps don’t need to be overdone to provide value on that form factor, though.
