The Daily App: Meeting Notes for iPhone

Here’s one more app to make daily meetings less painful: Meeting Notes for iPhone.

This app, a free download from the Apple iTunes App Store by developer Sekala Software, provides several great functions for capturing all information, decisions and comments during a particular meeting.

In addition to allowing for audio recording and playback of meetings, this app allows you to manage a listing of meeting attendees, manage meeting seating (through an interesting, graphical “round table” that allows place settings to be created), and email meeting recordings and “action items” to all those attending right as the meeting ends.

A geo-location feature will also automatically pinpoint on a map where the meeting took place. And in addition to creating audio recordings of a meeting, it allows for photographs to be taken (if, for example, someone is delivering a presentation and you’d like a quick capture of a slide or two.)

What’s nice about Meeting Notes for iPhone is that it brings together standard hardware features on the device to provide value – in this case, a nearly complete but straightforward meeting-minute tracker. That it’s also a free download is clearly a bonus.
