The Daily App: My Measures And Dimensions for Android

One of the great attributes of the new generation of mobility apps is that developers are creating amazing software that can make it just quicker, easier, or better to take on tasks that used to be tricky or even impossible.

My Measures and Dimensions, a $4.99 download from the Android Market produced by Mobile Software, makes it easier, quicker and just better to measure dimensions of things, and then record and/or share the data for various projects.

Here’s how My Measures and Dimensions works:

After you grab a quick measurement of a room, a space between two points or an object, take your Android device, click open the app and snap a photograph of what you just measured. My Measures and Dimensions then lets you record the length, width or even depth, save it to the hard drive, and either share it with someone else or use it for a project. (Think of it as a great way to plan a remodeling job for a room, or even capture data from a crime scene.)

My Measures and Dimensions supports sharing via email or even saving to another service like Evernote.

If you’re involved in taking lots of measurements and need a better way to keep track of them, this is certainly worth a try.
