The Daily App: Web Recorder for iPhone

Web Recorder for iPhone actually provides a neat utility that is hard to find on mobile devices: it captures your Web browsing and Web activities in video format to share with others.

For those who have produced videos and video tutorials based on Web browsing, with PC or Mac OS X applications like Camtasia, finding that same functionality on a smart device has been almost impossible, until now.

The 99-cent download from the Apple iTunes App Store, by developer hus zhuang, goes one step better than simple screen shots from the iPhone. Launching the app launches its built-in browser; tapping the video icon button at the bottom of the browser then launches a video recorder which will shoot video of the sites that you’re browsing.

Consider that, with the Android platform, it’s impossible to take even still screen shots unless you root your device (making it simply a non-existent function to most users,) Web Recorder for iPhone is certainly impressive.

It also opens up the possibility of apps that will allow you to record FaceTime chats, for example, or other activities on the iPhone.

For 99 cents, Web Recorder for iPhone could well be a nifty little utility for many to now have in the palm of their hands rather than just back on their desktop.
