Spreading that love to Android devices is LevelUp Studio and its Beautiful Widgets, a set of customizable add-on functions for Android Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich that was awarded the Android Market Editor's Choice.

Chief among the Beautiful Widgets are those for a clock, a clock with weather and weather alone. The weather widget includes 15 different weather animations (raining, snowing), can access Google or Accuweather data and can automatically update forecasts based on geolocation data. Widgets can be customized with fonts, layout, skins and Android system icons such as battery status.

Even more useful, Beautiful Widgets includes a set of controls for one-touch toggling of airplane mode, WiFi, Bluetooth, silent mode, vibrate, rotate, and other oft-used (but battery sapping) functions and apps. The HD widgets can be resized and customized to do almost anything. For example, the time widget can be set to launch a calendar app when the time or date are tapped. Beautiful Widgets costs $2.89 and includes about 1,000 skins.
