The Daily App: H&R Block Mobile App

For years now, some of us in the CRN Test Center have been using H&R Block's Tax Cut software (now called At Home) to prepare federal and state income tax returns. But when we heard that it's now possible to do your taxes on a smartphone, we found it hard to believe that there's an app for that. While it's both timely and useful, H&R Block's At Home 1040EZ app is not today's daily app.

More useful to businesspeople is the H&R Block Mobile App, a free app for Android smartphones and tablets that puts the status of tax returns at your fingertips.

The app is compatible with devices running Android 2.1 and higher, and also offers an estimator to help determine tax refunds (or liabilities), plus a checklist of commonly needed documentation, expert tax advice, tips and FAQs and a glossary containing hundreds of tax terms. And if your expertise runs short, the tool also helps you find a local H&R Block office and can even schedule your appointment.
