For those who struggle with finding their keys in the morning, then finding Wi-Fi hotspots is probably a nightmare. Helping solve such problems is WorkSnug and its WorkSnug Pro, a free Wi-Fi locator app for Android and iOS that practically holds your hand as it leads you to a snug place to work.
WorkSnug Pro finds Wi-Fi hotspots and uses the device's camera to superimpose their whereabouts as bubbles on the screen, a technique called augmented reality. Hotspots pop up with the location's name, address, distance, the venue's atmosphere, coffee quality, power availability and whether it’s free or requires payment. There's also a Wi-Fi finder map in the corner of the screen, a sort of radar simulator that shows hotspots as little dots.
WorkSnug Pro gets its name from its ability to find a quiet and comfortable work environment. Helping to do this is the app's integrated decibel meter, which records and reports the noise levels at each hot spot over time. What's more, WorkSnug developers have identified thousands of locations, including cafes, shared work centers and libraries in major cities in the U.S. and throughout Europe. App users also can add locations, review existing ones and share their experiences.
