Ricoh Promotes Company Veteran To Chief Technologist

Said Hede Nonaka, executive vice president at Ricoh Americas, "Mark has been instrumental in helping Ricoh achieve its technology goals over the past decade. As Ricoh continues its transformation from an office equipment hardware vendor to a true solutions provider, Mark's expertise and enthusiasm will help drive the next generation of innovation for our customers."

Minshull started with Ricoh in 1997 -- working at a subsidiary, Ricoh Silicon Valley -- after nine years spent at Apple and before that, managing a software consultancy, Metasys Engineering. His RSV tenure included the successful launch of Ricoh's open-source-based content manager eCabinet, and he joined Ricoh Americas in 2004. According to his company bio, Minshull is also deputy general manager, Document Solutions Development Center, for Ricoh's Tokyo-based parent, Ricoh Company Ltd.

Ricoh Company has had a busy 2008, including making waves in the printing space with the August announcement that it would acquire IKON Office Solutions. Ricoh completed the $1.6 billion acquisition on October 31, and IKON stopped trading on the New York Stock Exchange on November 3.
