Spring usually means a big round of cleaning and bringing the bright clothes out of the closet where they've been gathering dust all winter. Staying in tune with the season, computer manufacturer Dell is adding a slew of vibrant colors to its slim and mini-tower desktops.
Aimed at the consumer market, the eight new colors start at $299 and are available through Dell.com, distributor Digital China or the retailers Suning and Gome.
The Round Rock, Texas-based computer manufacturer is giving customers more than half a dozen colors to choose from, including piano black, pure white, true blue, formula red, tangerine orange, spring green, plum purple and promise pink.
In addition to choosing a color for the desktop, Dell customers can choose between an Intel Celeron, Intel Core 2 Duo and Intel Core 2 Quad chip options. Advanced Micro Devices Sempron, Athlon X2 and Phenom X4 processors also are available.
For users concerned with graphic performance, there is a choice between integrated Intel or ATI Radeon graphics.
Rounding out the system specs are up to 8 GB of memory and 750 GB of storage in the slim tower design or up to 1 TB of storage on the mini-tower. The desktops come with six USB ports, with two in front and four in back. A 19-in-1 media card reader and HDMI connectivity are optional.
