Hewlett-Packard announced Thursday that it has hired Ron Coughlin, who had been senior VP and chief marketing officer of PepsiCo's international business, to run global marketing for its IPG.
In its announcement, HP said:
Coughlin was responsible for the marketing function for PepsiCo's international beverage business, with more than $10 billion in system sales, including the Pepsi, 7UP, Tropicana, Gatorade, Aquafina and SoBe brands. Under his leadership, the business delivered double-digit revenue growth behind an aggressive transformation of the portfolio as well as the company's basic marketing model.
At HP, he'll report to Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of HP's Imaging and Printing Group, and be responsible for "customer, market and strategic planning, marketing operations, worldwide sales, communications and development of go-to-market assets," HP said.
