NEC Display President Steps Aside

By Edward F. Moltzen, CRN August 21, 2007
T.J. Trojan, president and COO of NEC Display Solutions of America, is stepping aside after 24 years at the manufacturer.

In a statement, the company said:

Mr. Trojan cited the desire to pursue outside personal interests as the reason for his departure after 24 years in various roles with NEC, culminating with being named President of NEC-Mitsubishi Display in 2003 and President of NEC Display Solutions in 2006. . .

Mr. Trojan will be replaced by the appointment of Nobuya Sakagami. Sakagami is currently responsible for global business activities as Senior Vice President and Member of the Board of NEC Display Solutions, Ltd., the parent company of NEC Display Solutions of America.

Trojan was not immediately available for an interview, a spokesman said.

Earlier this year, NEC Display Solutions of America, based in Itsaca, Ill., merged its display and projector units into one organization. Trojan's resignation takes effect Nov. 1.
