Billionaire PC channel pioneer Mark Cuban
says he got fed up with Vista, switched to a MacBook, and is very happy with the move:
. . . i LOVE the fact that it boots up in 1/1000000000 of the time it takes my PC. It probably will add years to my life .. (ok an exaggeration).
Im not an Apple fanboy, but I love me some MacBook
Cuban says there are issues with the Mac he's not thrilled with, including no right mouse click and no Outlook compatibility.
But the fact that Cuban is now using Mac instead of Windows for much of his computing is telling, not because of Cuban's celebrity or wealth but because 1) his experience as a Windows user appears to have really soured thanks to Vista and 2) PC makers who offer non-Windows solutions will grab his business and that of others who are eager for a choice.
Anecdotally, at least, that part of the market appears to be ready for growth. Apple, with the Macintosh OS, and Lenovo and Dell, which pre-load PCs with Linux, are positioned for non-Windows growth. Who's next?
