The Daily App: Any.DO's To Do List

The daily app, Any.DO's To Do List

Don't download today's Daily App because it was named by the NY Times one of the 10 best Android apps of 2011, or because it was the best app of that year according to TechCrunch. And don't download it because it was last year's must-have app according to PC Mag. Download Any.DO's To Do List because you're so busy that you sometimes need to be reminded to eat.

Immediately upon installing Any.DO, it begins recording tasks. Once a task is created, it joins the list of other tasks that are sorted by the categories of today, tomorrow, this week and later. Tasks can be sorted by date, folder or priority.

Among best attributes of Any.DO is the app's clean and uncluttered interface. We tested it on Samsung's Galaxy Tab, but it lives just as beautifully on the smaller screens of our Nexus S smartphone.

When creating (by typing or speaking) a task to email or call someone, Any.DO presents a list of possible recipients from the device's contact database. Once the task is created, it's accompanied by a hot button that links to the corresponding function. If you call and get their machine, drag-and-drop the task to tomorrow's list. When a task is completed, swipe to draw a line through it and move it to the completed pile, where it can be cleared with a shake. Tasks sync with Google's for one big happy family. Any.DO To Do List is free.
