The venerable analysts at Deloitte have released a report suggesting that digital convergence will spark a boom in VoIP usage, resulting in a $1 trillion market by 2010. (Yes, that's trillion with a "T.")

I spoke with Ken August, leader of the firm's Pacific Southwest Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group, about the findings.

Aside from impacting the way that businesses go to market, August predicts that ''Convergence hits the digital living room squarely in its vector.''
