IBM Welcomes Notes/Domino 7

Ed Brill writes today that the client and server software have arrived--at least for volume licensees and Partnerworld participants. Mere mortals will apparently have to wait a tad longer.

IBM/Lotus offishes said a few weeks ago that shipment would come, well, in a few weeks.

Whaddaya know--a semi-on-time arrival in the software world!! Not like the Microsoft WinFS bits that showed up Monday and were touted by some as being ahead of schedule.

On what planet is years late early? Let's not forget that Microsoft has promised a unified data store for more than a decade now. How quickly people forget.
