Crocs, a shoe manufacturer/retailer
Crocs was in need of an integrated, real-time solution to replace multiple systems and manual processes for point-of-sale and retail enterprise management.
Since 2002, Crocs has been growing exponentially. Its shoes are now available in more than 6,000 retail locations, and the company has opened 40 stores, with 60 more on the way by the end of 2006. The company went public in February 2006 and has expanded its retail presence worldwide into Europe, Asia and Australia--hence the need for a single POS and enterprise-management solution.
Alpha Retail Technology got its foot in the door and helped Crocs implement its Enterprise Edition system to automate inventory, receiving and ordering. The solution helped streamline the sharing of data to reduce retail operational costs and improve customer service for Crocs. Alpha Retail also provided handheld terminal and bar code technology to improve Crocs' inventory receipt and replenishment.
Key to Success
"Given the nature of Crocs' enterprise, it was vital for us to provide the perfect fit. Our software's flexible interface and its ability to effortlessly accommodate Crocs' ever-expanding product line and growing retail presence ensured the success of the project." --Dr. Simon Cotter, CEO, Alpha Retail Technology
