Customer/Market
SBA Communications, owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure

Concept
SBA Communications was growing rapidly through customer wins and business acquisitions. With two core businesses--leasing and site development--SBA needed to report to a central general ledger and access a central repository for its vital business-intelligence data from its Great Plains and WennSoft modules.

Challenge
With numerous towers and site-development projects, SBA was in need of a better solution to track workflow, automate service management, handle goods and materials, manage purchasing and shipping, create and track construction and materials schedules, and manage a remote workforce--all of which needed to be fully integrated with the company's core financials.

Solution
ePartners was called in to extend SBA's Great Plains module, adding critical functionality in human resources and payroll, distribution, service management and reporting. ePartners also helped the company expand its network and infrastructure to support the newly integrated solution. As part of the project, SBA has taken hundreds of reports from several different financial-reporting modules and migrated them to the central repository.

Key To Success
"Given the significant volume of engagements, this solution allowed [SBA] to properly manage its construction business. We recommended a solution where SBA could track jobs in a tight time frame."
