A worm that was designed to attack Siemens programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Windows-based industrial software. First identified in 2010, Stuxnet infections were found in Iran, Indonesia, India and other countries. Most widely reported, Iran claimed its nuclear generation program was damaged when Stuxnet attempted to disable steam turbines and centrifuges.
