The system was developed by XDB Systems, Inc., which was acquired by the Micro Focus International group in 1998. The XDB technology continues to be delivered with the COBOL application software that Micro Focus, Rockville, MD (www.microfocus.com) develops to bridge legacy systems with contemporary architectures and platforms.
