Salesforce.com Posts Status Site, May Regret It

Yesterday, Salesforce.com very helpfully sent out a URL that will show anyone (competitors, customers, nosy reporters) the status of its network.

That came after a couple of well publicized outages that threatened to give Salesforce's whole "end of software" campaign a rather dicey reputation.

When first clicked on Thursday afternoon, all was well. A lotta green lights.

So poking around Friday morningwhat's this?" " All systems are available."

Well that's good news. But there's an "umcaveat:

Oh, wait. One more thing: There is a planned downtime Friday night for North America sites that from 7 p.m. till midnight pacific time.

Once again: Ruh roh.
