Calling The Glass Half-Full

First, Bob Faletra has called the bottom. He reviews a number of factors affecting the technology economy today and finds ample room for optimism, even noting "the downturn will ultimately prove beneficial to those companies, large and small, that remain viable throughout this challenging time."

Michael Vizard finds opportunity in virtual computing. He sees "organizations leveraging a new generation of enterprise applications," in which "previously unimaginable things suddenly become very possible."

Jeffrey Schwartz looks at this month's national election results, as sees one of the big winners being government solution providers who can handle the new wave of "performance-based management" of government affairs.

T.C. Doyle has seen "renewed enthusiasm among VARs and solution providers with whom I speak," but cautions that a rebound may nevertheless be slow to mature.

From my perspective, the feeling here that things in this business have picked up steam is unmistakable.
