You'll find this treatise on e-mail scams pretty interesting, especially if you spend literally hours a week like me wading through stuff like this trying to get to your meaningful e-mail. Speaking of e-mail, Symantec just sent over some interesting tidbits from an online survey they did of end-user attitudes vs. those of IT managers. Some highlights: - Approximately 70 percent of IT managers say they will do something to deal with spam by 2007 - More managers than end users report seeing an increase in spam in their organization over the past 12 months - Fewer IT managers than end users were likely to say their spam situation was under control - There was most consensus on the following: Both sides felt federal or state legislation to control spam would have a limited impact
