Avaya Distributed Office
Avaya is rolling out Distributed Office, a new VoIP platform designed for businesses with multiple branch locations such as retailers or banks. The SIP-based system pushes all of the call control functionality out to the branches, so the system can operate with or without a central IP-PBX at headquarters, the company said. Distributed Office is available in two versions, the i40 and i120, which support up to 40 users or up to 120 users each, respectively. Avaya is also launching its one-x Deskphone Value Edition 1600 Series, a new line of entry-level IP phones.
