1. Chris Cummiskey, Arizona CIO

Whether he’s driving citizen services with a 2-1-1 initiative and electronic health care efforts or protecting the state’s infrastructure as a member of the IT security advisory committee, Chris Cummiskey is pushing for change out west. And it’s not going unnoticed. He was recognized in 2006 as the “Practitioner of the Year” by the Arizona chapter of the Society of information Managers.
