Solution providers are still smarting from Microsoft's decision to bypass the vast majority of channel partners for its Surface go-to-market strategy. During a CRN VAR Roundtable at D&H Distributing's New England Technology Show, solution providers vented their frustrations over Microsoft's Devices Program, which limits Surface reseller authorizations to just 10 large account reseller (LAR) partners. They also talked about Microsoft's Apple envy as well as other Windows 8 tablet offerings in the market.
