Cisco Takes Aim At Competitors (Video)

Cisco CEO John Chambers took aim a number of Cisco competitors such as Huawei and HP during the Cisco Partner Summit 2013.

At the 17th annual Cisco Partner Summit, much of the talk focused on Cisco competitors past and present. Cisco CEO John Chambers said many of those companies, such as Nortel and Alcatel-Lucent, are "a shadow of what they used to be." As for newer competitors such as Huawei and Hewlett-Packard, Chambers said, "We left them behind as well." Bruce Klein, senior vice president of Cisco's Worldwide Partner Organization, said his company's partner-centric model is a differentiator for Cisco compared with other IT vendors.
