Company: RHUB Communications

Headquarters: Santa Clara, Calif.

Technology Sector: Networking

Key Product: RHUB TM-200

Year Founded: 2005

Number of Channel Partners: Nine worldwide

Ideal Channel Partner: Small business-focused solution providers

Why You Should Care: In an era of belt-tightening, many companies are cutting down on travel and instead are increasingly relying on unified communications. RHUB's Web-conferencing appliances are not only grabbing a toehold in this rapidly growing market but also offer strong ROI, the company says.

The Lowdown: Aimed at the SMB market, RHUB's flagship TurboMeeting product line combines four applications into one on-premise appliance: Web conferencing, remote support, remote access and Web seminars.

RHUB characterizes TurboMeeting as an easy-to-install appliance that should appeal to partners who already deliver IP-based solutions such as telephony, networking and conferencing solutions.

RHUB TM-200
TurboMeeting was designed with channel partners in mind, said the company's top executive. It offers APIs that enable resellers to integrate the appliance with other customer systems.

"RHUB designed the TM-200 appliance for the channel from the ground up," said CEO Larry Dorie. "Its remote support and access capabilities make it an ideal tool for the channel partner to use in increasing customer satisfaction while driving down costs and reducing truck rolls."

TurboMeeting also has a vendor-managed feature that automatically updates appliances as long as there is Internet access and products are under warranty.

In addition, RHUB supports the customization of its technology with client names and logos. With a starting price of less than $1,000, the TM-200 offers value and quick ROI of typically three to nine months, according to RHUB.

RHUB doesn't require a formal certification process for channel partners. The company does provide channel partners with phone and e-mail tech support, and marketing support and sales support also are offered.

Our Test Center recently took a look at the TM-200. Here's what they found.
