The daily app, ReadyTalk Mobile

Web conference service provider ReadyTalk has released an app for iPad, offering an alternative to laptops and desktops for accessing virtual presentations and training sessions. With ReadyTalk Mobile for iPad, as many as 90 people can participate in a meeting simultaneously.

ReadyTalk offers tools for the three main parts of conferences: pre-conference, during conference and post-conference. The pre-meeting tools include a scheduler for Microsoft Outlook, email invitations for Google calendar and Outlook as well as automated reminder emails. During the conference, participants have the ability to share the presenter’s desktop and view slides, applications, video clips and images. After the meeting, surveys and follow up emails are sent to the participants, allowing them to provide feedback.

ReadyTalk is exceptionally user friendly. Once the app is installed, the user simply inputs the provided access code during the predetermined meeting time and is then ready to go. Of course, a conference is not complete without the ability to hear what people are saying. The audio is made available through ReadyTalk Broadcast Audio, or can be dialed in by phone with the same provided access code. Users can also record audio and virtually raise their hand with the click of a button, which allows for less verbal interruption.

The ReadyTalk app is available at the App Store for free and is designed for iPad's using iOS 4.3 or higher. And, since there is no Pro version offered, every tool is immediately made available to all users.
