The Daily App, Stitcher

Today’s Daily App is like Pandora for news radio. Stitcher Radio for Android and iOS takes free internet news stations and podcasts and stitches them together in a single place for easy access to their streams.

Developed by Stitcher, the app holds the addresses of more than 10,000 radio stations, each with a thumbnail and description. The front page opens with headlines that compliment the predetermined “favorite categories” and has a search bar. The settings icons include links to the front page, on-demand shows, live radio, my favorites, friend activity and profile.

Icons are self-explanatory; simply click, choose and listen. The friend icon links with Facebook to show which of your Facebook friends have an account and what they're sharing and listening to. Like Pandora, Stitcher Radio has responsive learning. By clicking on the thumbs-up or -down icon, the app learns personal preferences and selects content accordingly.
