Rather than creating spreadsheets filled with usernames and passwords, or jotting them down on scrap pieces of paper, try LastPass for Android, iOS and Windows. From its namesake developer, LastPass not only stores login credentials but also encrypts passwords and works in conjunction with mobile devices and desktop browsers.
The LastPass app must first be installed on a computer. For multiple platforms, a full list of supported browsers is offered, and it must be individually installed. LastPass will automatically run whenever the browser is launched. After creating an online account, the LastPass app can then be installed and launched on an Android or iOS device, where all usernames and passwords are instantly available.
LastPass quickly syncs login credentials and account information across all platforms. Editing and adding URLs, passwords and secure notes may be done within the app, which securely stores alphanumeric notes such as text-only notes. The convenient automatic form-fill feature stores and automatically inputs common personal details such as name, address and phone number. LastPass is free for Windows and Mac desktops, and LastPass Premium for Android and iOS has a $12 annual fee.
