The Daily App, Pet Minder

Whether your business employs watchdogs or keeps pets around just for company, today's Daily App is specially designed to keep track of all their needs. Pet Minder Lite for Android is a free app for tracking pet feedings, bio breaks and trips to the vet.

Pet Minder is the first Android app developed by Innovative Engineering Services, a Long Island-based embedded systems developer that specializes in writing code for microcontrollers. Employing an easy-to-use color notification system, Pet Minder tracks an initial set of user-controlled time intervals and displays red when action is needed and green when everything is under control. The app also stores pet birthdays, dispensing of treats and the type of bio activity that takes place during walks. It also can display up to two feeding reminders per day in the Android notification bar.

For $1.99, Pet Minder Pro adds reminders for application of flea, tick and heartworm medications, as well as reminders for trips to the vet for shots, and it removes in-app ads. A Certified Android Developer as of September 2011, IES released Pet Minder Lite and Pet Minder Pro in May, and they are now at version 2.1. Pet Minder runs on Android version 2.2 and higher.
