N.J. and the Army: Perfect Together

According to Charles Dawson, New Jersey's CTO, a comprehensive intrusion-detection program is a key component in the state's homeland security plans to protect its IT infrastructure from cyberterrorism. The Army will help New Jersey define the operations and architecture needed to deploy an intrusion-detection and response program for the state's executive branch, which comprises 16 departments. The technology includes host-based intrusion-detection systems, network-based intrusion-detection systems and security information-management systems.
