The latest version of Zope (2.6.1) runs on Windows, Unix, Linux and Mac OS X. Among recent advancements are two new content-management framework tools that make MIME types-based transformations on the portal contents, providing an easier way to plug in new transformations for previously unsupported content types. New versions of MailBoxer, which runs mailing lists and newsletters, and of Zope's modeling framework, have recently been released to the open-source community. Widespread use of Zope is well under way in Europe, where the French Atomic Energy Commission recently announced that it had selected a Zope-based collaborative portal server.
